(ps : sorry for my bad english) Dear readers. I am overwhelmed these days. I wish I could have posted more pictures on Style and the City from my street style and fashion weeks, but I wasn’t able to do it. I even don’t have time to answer to all your emails. I wish I could have sent your pictures to more of you but I am exhausted working 16h a day : the blog, the iPhone iPad app, the investors, the brands, my coming new tee shirts collection, my desire to write a movie/book, the preparation fro my move in New York next year…
Sometimes I’m afraid not being able to achieve my dreams. My family is far from me and my best friend left Paris. I try to spare time to have a normal (social and happy) life but it’s not easy.
One past evening I went to see a movie I couldn’t imagine would make me so happy. I saw the amazing and mooving movie “DRIVE“ , featuring this great actor Ryan Gosling, who doesn’t hesitate to break up a fight in the street in New York (he could have been stabbed !).
I almost cried in the theater because I could relate to the hero : we are alone, have a basic tasteless life and are afraid to die alone. We even don’t know what we are living for. Suddenly we meet an angel who brightens our life and gives a new meaning to it.
Our life has a new taste. The fire and rage that were burning inside us now are off. But if something sad stops this new life, these rage and fire will burst again.
The angels that brighten my days are the women I meet in the streets, randomly, in Paris, New York. When I see I am capable to bring a smile to their faces, I know that my life and Style and the City are worthy. But who knows how long will it last. That’s why I want you to share an encounter that I sadly fortgot as I have hundred of thousands pictures in my computer. But that’s the beauty of trying to humanize fashion and help women to feel beautiful everyday. Whatever file I open, I know that the pictures I will discover will brighten my day with many smiles. Every encounter, every woman I decide to take in picture is a way for me to stay “human”, to not forget my humanist values and who I am as a human being. I was tired and sad this morning and then I rediscovered these pictures in my files. They reminded me a challenge : will she let me photograph her ?
They reminded me a moment of happiness and that I must not let it down.
New York, a new life, new challenges are waiting for me. I can’t wait to meet you in the streets. I can’t wait to make you smile, to make you laugh and show to you and to the world how cool, sweet and naturaly beautiful you are.
Make a woman happy today : your lover, your sister, your mother… draw a smile in her face and you day will be a good day.
And if you would like to meet me in the streets of New York, let me know by liking this article and sharing it with your friends. Thank you for your support. See you… soon ?
