After 5 years of Women fashion week street style photo coverages, I decided that it was time for me to give a try to Paris male Fashion Week. 2 challenges for me : 1 – find a way to make men handsome, not through their styles (all the photographers will take in pictures the same styles) but throughout their attitude, through my art of photography. 2 – Will I be able to use my skills as a former TV Video reporter to males street style and fashion week photography ?
What I’ve learnt as TV video reporter specialized on making off and backstage : use the set and all the unexpected elements around you to create stories. That day, I was attending the Thom Browne male fashion show. That day was very very sunny making street style photography even harder. The street was narrow and civil engineering was making it ugly. That’s finally what saved me cause on the other side of the street, a glass wall. 20 m away, all street style photographers from magazines were at the entrance of the show, making men pose for them. They will never realize that the beauty of fashion lies on real life, on unexpected moments like this one. As a humanist street style photographer, it’s a delight for me to set up that kind of pictures in few seconds. I just told my new friends to not move, cause I’m gonna take the “Usual suspects Mad Men” picture. They laughed, then smiled : CLICK ! Life is beautiful. Fashion makes it gorgeous. Thank you Thom Browne for creating that kind of magical moments. More pictures will be posted soon. Stay tuned. (By the way, did you guess where I was in the picture ?)
