“She is gorgeous !”, “What a beauty !” some of you would have immediatly thought by watching her. Art of photography lovers would have thought “Great shot Kamel !”, “Beautiful picture !”. If that’s the case, I thank you very much. If not, I invite you to visit other blogs that focuse on accessories that you’ll die for, like, share but will never buy cause you’ll never do what it takes to make your life greater. And that’s just not Style and the City angle. Style and the City’s angle is not only to show you but to prove you that your life is the only result of the decisions you make. Luck doesn’t exists. What you call luck is the conjonction of many elements you set up during your life and that at some point act together at the right moment. Believe it or not, being a french TV host, a tv writer, a comedian, a comedy festival creator, artistic director and producer help me very much in my humanist street style photography. Being different from my numerous brothers in order to be loved by my father has been a key factor that shaped all my teen and adult life until now.
Lots of stylish women, lots of photographers diying to take in pictures shoes and bags. I love women from fashion. They are cool, always available for a picture despite the fact that they know that the photographers are only interested in their outfit and accessories. It’s sad but that what street style became. When I see that kind of behavior, I immediately escape from the location cause I simply can’t stand it. I take the risk to loose beautiful of my own style of pictures but willing to sacrifice many pictures if teh price to pay to stay true to yourself. And God if exists, share this value. As the photographers were focused on peeling sweet Giovanna Battaglia, I decided to leave the location and walk around, to breath New York and find inspiration. I walked 300m and then I saw her. She was beautiful like an angel. I started to take her in picture. Men around were wondering who she was. Me too to tell you the truth. I included them in the frame to make my shooting more compelling. I love stories and I try to create stories in pictures as much as I can cause that’s what life is about : our little stories.
By the way ! This beautiful model is french and her name is Marine Deleeuw. French beauty !
The look she gave me was so deep that I found her even more beautiful. Se was not angry, just lost in her thoughts. I did my best to make her pictures gracious cause that how I feel it. Carrying her book, I guessed that this model was walking from a casting to another one. It’s a very hard job to be a young model cause you have to be very strong in your mind. How many castings to attend per day, how many successful ones for how many failed one. I hope that she has the success she deserves and If I was able to hire her, I think I would be able to go a very great shooting with her.
Update : thank’s to you dear readers, I know who she is and belive it or not, not only french she is, but she also come from the same region as mine : Nord !!! She is a “Cht’i”. Marine Deleeuw is her name, she is just 18 and here’s her blog.
I could have stayed with other photographers but I didn’t. Cause I am ME and I promise myself to only work with people who share my values : doing great things, achieving great goals in their lifes and making this world a better place. Be different and your life will be different.
