Yes adorable Mira Duma, yes beautiful Alexandra Golovanoff, yes gorgeous Ece Sukan, yes funny Chloe Moretz and other friends : was I right to finally attend this first day of Paris fashion week haute couture after I deliberatly missed the Male Paris fashion week ? According to how amazing you were today, I think I was right to follow the requests from Style and the City’s fans and some fashion magazines that wanted to order me my “humanist” kind of photographs. To tell you the truth, I was not expecting to attend this Paris fashion week haute couture as I didn’t attend the Male Paris fashion week. WHY ? Because of 2 things.
1- The first reason could sound stupid but that’s me. So the first reason I was expecting to miss this Paris fashion week haute couture is that I don’t want to bother my dear friends from fashion. I always think that if they see me too much, they will get bored of me. That’s why I deliberately miss Milan and London fashion week. Because I want to keep our encounter fresh, joyful, suprising. I “love” my friends from fashion because they help me in my quest of humanizing fashion, on helping women to feel naturally beautiful and stylish. And I have no words string enough to thank them for their kindness, complicity and trust if I start to coach them a little bit.
2- The second reason is artistic. As you know my philosophy now, I am not a street style photographer. I am a humanist street style photographer that focus on capturing men and women’s natural charm, grace, beauty. Fashion week after fashion week, my job becomes harder to do because of the amazing increasing number of photographers. Remember 5,5 years ago, before I created Style and the City, when the few photographers were taking “stady” pictures. Now… let’s say that they love my work, lol. Too much for some of them. lol bis. To compensate, I must think even more harder about how to create a different type of photographs than all other present photographers. At every fashion week, at every fashion show. Because if I don’t create, if I don’t follow the path of art, I simply die. I can’t live without doing my best to honor what life is offering to me : the opportunity to meet great people and souls like Mira, Alexandra, Ece, Chloe and so many other great people. Humanist photography is very challenging because it’s about capturing ephemeral moments, emotions and revealing great personalities. It’s now or never. And because I can “loose” at that reality game, it makes my desire to humanize fashion even more rewarding. A smile from Miroslava Duma tells it all my friends, isn’t it !
I will do my best to post more pictures tomorrow from this first day. If not, I will post them this week. eexpect the best from me as I expect the best for myself. Invite your friends to subscribe to the blog and the newsletter to stay tuned !![Not a valid template]
