Yes my friends, these pictures are from sept. 2011 and you never saw them on Style and the City yet. Because I don’t have enough time to edit my dozens of thousands pictures stocked in my hard disks. It’s painful for me and I want to cry every time I dig into my archives from Paris fashion week to New York fashion week or Milan Fashion week. I want to cry because there is so many beautiful moments full of happiness, fun, grace, natural beauty that I want to share with you to show you how real life, real people make fashion more appealing than any cover magazine or fake fashion photo serie. I need to hire an assistant to help me to edit these thousands and thousands nice moments. That’s why I am about to launch a beautifull tee shirts collection in the hope to earn enough money to hire a great and talented assistant. And you’ll be the first to benefit from him, or her !
I can’t stress enough that life is as beautiful as we want to see and make it beautiful. I can’t stress enough that style is just the cloth of our personalities. What makes fashion beautiful is people, not a piece of garment. After 5,5 years of humanist street style photography, after +150 000 pictures taken, I can tell you that : your natural grace is waht will make you outstanding. Your inner happiness is what will make you brighten. Find your inner happiness and taste what your life should taste : the sweet arome of blessing
Stupid and boring street style VS humanist photography : you know now what I stand for. Capturing moments that will disappear in the next second, making them eternal, seeing life as a formula one circuit with hundreds parameters you can’t control and compel you to adapt every second : that what makes humanist street style photography so appealing and exciting to me. Honoring the ones that offer me their complicity by offering sweet memories is the least I can do as a photographer.
So, Derek Blasberg, tell us what did you say to your beautiful and stylish friend to make her burst into laugher !
