Dear friends. It’s Paris fashion week. Despite this beautiful first picture of this post that would make you think that this Men Paris Fashion week is amazing from a street style point of view, I must tell you that it’s the worse I ever witnessed. You already know why : the crazy and still growing amount of street style photographers and the greed and disrespectful attitude of too many of them. You see that first picture of a series I was setting up : a street style photographer was behind me already stealing my work. It happens more than ever before. And when I tell them to stop stealing my work, to respect me and rather learn photography, they start to argue. Just amazing!
At some point, 2 men from the fashion industry were walking to enter the Louis Vuitton fashion show. They were having fun. 5 meters before the entrance, a street style photographer stopped them brutally, separate them and start to take his pictures without even thank the man. As he was standing just beside me, wondering what just happened, I candidly teased him : “How do you feel ?” His answer : “I feel used”. This single answer summarized what people from fashion became : tools, objects, coat racks. Street style photographers do whatever they can to kill humanity for the purpose of taking in picture a bag, shoes and sell their pictures to magazine, no matter if the “model” feel good about it or not. Human being has a sad tendency to destroy the beauty. This year will be my last year as a street style photographer I think.
Because it almost impossible to take in picture great stories (people are forced to stop every 10 seconds to pose), I decided to focus on some people I like during this Men Paris Fashion week, like Doina Ciobanu. You must have noticed her pictures on different blogs and websites. I love her because she is so humble, so sweet and most important of all : she doesn’t want to work in the fashion industry but make this world better by entering politics. She told it to me 2 days ago and I was mesmerized. I love people that don’t follow the trends but their heart and values. “Because the fools that think they can change the world are the ones who do” (Steve Jobs). The Louis Vuitton Fashion show location was so crowded with street style photographers that I had to be very discreet to find a place where I could be alone with Doina. Unfortunately, I didn’t noticed the street style photographer who already following us. I was so captivated by Doina, I so wanted to offer her nice natural pictures like I love to do it for her. Check out the Paris fashion week and Daily Dose of Happiness sections to find more of her pictures : you gonna fall in love. She is like a flower that deserves attention and affection. I hope that people will someday stop to see her as just a stylish beautiful girl and start to see her as a model for the younger generations, lost in a world of superficiality. Let’s wish Doina a great career in politics and hope that she will succeed to make this world a better place. It needs it.
