Update : Yulia told me yesterday that she was 5 months pregnant. Isn’t she amazing !
Hi dear friends. I hope you had a great day or gonna have the day you deserve : it’s up to you to make it great my friends as we are all responsible of our own life and destiny. Isn’t it exciting to be commander in chief of your own life ! That’s what I tell myself when I am down. I found it the best motivational way to bounce back and feel blessed to be alive, be part of this world, be able to make it better. I tell you that because this Paris fashion week haute couture was harder than ever from a humanist photography point of view. Too too many photographers making it almost impossible to capture great stories. One beautiful shot : you can make it. But a whole story, that’s another another story, lol. peopel are stoped every 10 seconds making great moments of life almost impossible. I could have stepped back and took only single shots, one picture at a time, but It would have been too easy and I am a story teller, not a surrender. Difficult situations of our lives are challenges that God, if exists, put ahead of us to make us better. That how I decided to handle the situation.
I love russian designer Ulyana Sergeenko : simply gorgeous and so talented. You’ve seen on Style and the City some of her personal pictures and her fashion show. The best is always to come and you’ll soon see new pictures of her and her haute couture collection in the coming days. (by the way, thank you Frol). 3 days ago I attended her haute couture fashion show. Before and after the show I tryed to capture some nice natural moments : gorgeous women were coming or leaving,

and there I saw her, like and angel, alone, waiting for the time to go : Yulia Varava. I didn’t know her, I just realized how beautiful she was. Not a sofisticated beauty, a nautral beauty that doesn’t require make up. She prooved me that people make outfit stylish, not the contrary.
When I see a beautiful person, I try to offer a great pictures = the background must match the beauty of the person. By matching, I mean, I try to create a story, a postcard by choosing the right angles, the right attitudes, the right zoom, the right moments, the right locations… If I can’t create a nice “postcard”, I don’t take the picture because I would not feel like an artist but just like another street style photographer who doesn’t care about magnifiing a person. Remember : a picture is a gift, and I don’t want to offer ugly gifts.
When I enter a location, I always check everything, every detail of the location that could provide opportunities for me to take different pictures from other photographers with a sens of art. It is not easy but when I must try. That’s how we improve our skill after all. That’s how I noticed a huge mirror on the wall. I immediately understood that this mirror would offer me the opportunity to reveal Yulia’s natural grace in an more beautiful way than a unnatural pose. I immediately liked Yulia because she was instinctively so kind to me. I think she is not aware how naturally beautiful she is. And if she knows it, it’s amazing to see how humble and discreet she is. I liked her even more. The most beautiful beauty comes from our inner generosity and I hope I succeeded to show it to you with Yulia.
My english is not fluent enough (I’m french, sorry) to translate all what I have in mind and to tell to the aspirting photographers the process of my photography. I hope you’ll understand what I try to explain. To the aspiring photographers : no need to attend fashion weeks to see beauty. Look around you and practice ! See the world and people with your heart and you’ll see beauty everywhere where others see nothing or just clothes. A new world will appear to you. You’ll feel blessed. Thank you very much Ulyana, Frol, German, Yulia and so many of you. I’ll post more pictures in the coming days. I hope that you’ll like these “moments”
