J’étais en train de vous préparer un bel article résumant ma fashion week parisienne, quand je suis tombé sur mes dernières photos d’Anna Dello Russo, à l’entrée du défilé Louis Vuitton mercredi passé.  Cela m’a immédiatement donné une idée d’article que je veux vous offrir avant le résumé de ma fashion week parisienne.

Anna Dello Russo has un « je ne sais quoi » of Jackie Kennedy : toujours entourée de son amie Carine Roitfeld ou au bras d’hommes élégants tel Mario Testino ou Georges Cortina, fashion director au Vogue Nippon. D’ailleurs, à chaque fois que je croise George Cortina, je le taquine en le surnommant « Georges Clooney » of fashion. A cause de son élégance et de son charme of course ! This night, I wanted to post 20 photos photo of my 6th and exciting day of Paris Fashion Week but I collapsed from fatigue at 3am. I wil compensate after the fashion week. I hope that you like what you see on Style and the City until now and that the lovely and brughtening Barbara Martello gives you the desire to be happy today and smile to others.

Birth of the Project- My first exhibition in Paris

2 things to tell you about my day : 1- my sadness when I see how models, often tired or in hurry after they show (to go to their next show) are hunted by some greed and disrespecful photographers. My important message to these photographers : « Stop harassing models. STOP hunting them like animals !!! RESPECT them !!  »

I’m even more sad that if you respect models, they can give you so much from themselves. But all starts with REPECT !!

1 648 pictures taken today but Yasmin Sewell is the natural beauty that that brightened my day. 20 pictures / 2 pages full of pure natural beauty, that beauty that comes from happy and generous people, as I’ve been prooving it for 2,5 years now. Remember  « The great secret of beauty » !  You can already guess that Yasmin knows this secret.

This Paris Fashion Week is one of the most amazing for me so far : I know more than ever what kind of photography I want to do to reveal the natural beauty of every woman and keep staying different from all other photographers. 1 254 photos prises aujourd’hui dont au moins 50% dont je suis content. De RM par Roland Mouret, Issey Myake, Gaspard Yurkievich, Christian Dior, Isabel Marant, à Vivienne Westwood, Lanvin et maison Martin Margiela, je n’ai pas chômé. Et pourtant qu’est-ce que j’en bave avec tous ces photographes qui te parasitent tes photos. Mais du style, de la beauté, je vous ai promis, du style et de la beauté je vous offrirai juste après la fashion week. Vu que tout les blogs street style jusqu’aux plus célèbres se sont mis à copier le style « live » de Style and the City et même le « suivi de personne », je teste une nouvelle façon de photographier et de mettre en valeur la beauté  naturelle des femmes que mon ami le bon Dieu met sur mon chemin, telle la chicissime Miroslava Duma.

Mais il pourrait aussi mettre sur mon chemin un superbe appareil photo professionnel dont l’autofocus sélectionne et suis efficacement les personnes qui marchent vers moi. Des fois j’ai juste envie de sauter d’un pont de 1m20 quand je vois les photos que je rate : l’autofocus patine et le déclenchement de la photo ne se fait pas ou avec un léger flou.

Il y a encore beaucoup de bugs et d’améliorations qui n’ont pas pu être mises en place ce matin. On y remédiera. Mon ami Nicolas m’aide bénévolement et prend sur son temps libre. Vous pouvez le remercier grandement. Donnez-nous du temps pour rendre ce blog plus ergonomique et encore plus beau. 1er jour de fashion week parisienne et 1 353 photos pleines de style et de beauté, de moments fun et uniques, à découvrir prochainement sur ce nouveau blog. Mais comme d’habitude un tout petit échantillon pour commencer. Quelle belle journée mes amis ! Du style et de la beauté comme seul des femmes heureuses, généreuses et  pleine de personnalité peuvent offrir ! Une belle journée car les femmes de cette fashion week parisienne sont si belles que je me demande si je ne suis pas dans une série américaine. Kate Hudson Davidson et Kate Lanphear sont là pour vous le prouver. Une belle journée car j’ai aussi reçu de bien jolis compliments de la part de grandes personnalités de la presse féminine américaine.

Une belle journée entachée par le comportement irrespectueux des photographes : c’est de pire en pire. 3 fois aujourd’hui je prenais en photo des personnes qui venaient vers moi, 3 fois un photographe les a arrêtées pour photographier leurs vêtements. Contre un mur, façon porte-manteau. Super ! Le dernier, qui visiblement aime saboter mes photos, s’est même mis juste devant mon objectif pour voler cette belle photo. Une fois le photographe parti comme un voleur, Kate Lanphear m’a proposé de la prendre en photo. J’ai refusé car cet instant complice et magique avait disparu par la faute du photographe. Je ne veux pas prendre les mêmes photos que les autres. Je veux offrir des moments uniques, des moments d’émotions, des histoires, de l’éphémère, je veux photographier des êtres humains avec qui partager des moments complices. Les femmes stylées ne se réduisent pas à des portes-manteaux !!! Pas sur Style and the City.

Last tuesday I told you that after the New York Fashion week, I deeply wanted to take some pictures of the sunset on Manhattan.

Why ? Because I have the chance to be a man who don’t like to do twice the same things. I could have took pictures of the sunset from the Empire state building like last New York fashion week and like all the other tourists, but inside of me, I would have the feeling of repeating myself. No challenge makes my life tastless. That’s why I quit french female fashion magazines : to live a life full of freedom and taste a wider range of emotions than weekly « it bags », « must have », and other sexuality tests !

The problem with the desire of taking pictures from a high roof in Mahnattan is that it’s almost impossible for security reasons. The first hotel that told me that made me understand that my task would be very difficult. Even more difficult that celebrities live in the residences around Manhattan.

What could I do ? Let it down ? NEVER !!! If I want to change this world and make it a better place, If I want to show you what I am willing to do for the futur members of the coming soon new website, I must proove you that nothing is impossible when you have faith and work hard. I’ve never lost my concentration ever since I started Style and the City, 30 months ago. I interviewed so many french TV stars when I was TV video reporter and even stood up in front of large audiences in comedy clubs that I though I would never been destabilized by anybody I would take in picture. My friends, guess what ? That period ended that thursday 18th, 3.42 pm exactly (NY time). Because of Anna Wintour !  Her beautiful endless look she gave me at the exit of Calvin Klein fashion show. Read the next pages. You’ll feel what I experienced.

I should have been more careful about the signs my friend God placed in my path, like the gorgeous smile of one of the most natural stylish born woman in the wolrd, Miroslava Duma. Could you resist to a sweet pink candy walking towards you ? I can’t.

875 + pictures I took that day. Pictures of stylish people, pictures of sweet natural moments, pictures of generous women and even very sexy. Do they know they are such sexy ? Naissance de Style and the City – BIRTH of the Project - My first new York Fashion Week (feb 2009)

My internet is back at my hostel. Alléluia ! I am working on my pictures of thursday (Ralf Lauren, Isaac Mezrahi, Calvin Klein). Here’s a tiny sample of my 1 200 pictures of that day and of what you must expect soon in this blog.

My friends, I am as happy as sad. Happy because I didn’t meet beautiful stylish women only, I met women that were first generous with me. Why GENEROSITY in a human being is so important for me ? Click « READ the story » to discover it !

2 pages ! My friends, I am exhausted, so exhausted that my noise sometimes bleed when I give a blow (is the translation correct ?). I am afraid to give a blow now. In addition, my lips are still dry because of the cold : if I laugh they lacerate (is the translation correct ?) and it hurts so much that I feel so bad to not be as funny as I am used to be with nice people.

Today, I took 1 000+ New York fashion week street style pictures, and many are awesome. But tonight, as I am too exhausted I will just post the pictures of the adorable Julia Frakes. If you don’t know her, make a search on Google and you’ll discover how talented she is for her age. I will put more pictures soon in the new website I am building.

Déjà le 5ème jour de fashion week New Yorkaise mais 1er grand jour de neige : IMPRESSIONNANT. Ha, ça, quand il neige à New York, ça fait pas semblant. Mais ça me fait plaisir de voir ce manteau de neige car à Paris, je ne me souvenais plus à quoi ressemblait la neige. Moi, mon manteau, (certainement made in China !) je pensais qu’il était waterproof car acheté chez décathlon. Tu parles mon nigaud ! Il était water bouffe ! Une goutte passait à côté que hop ! Cet enfoiré de manteau l’aspirait. Je ne vous dis pas comment je me sentais humide et comment je tremblais. Et mes doigts ? Ils sont au congélateur. Je dois m’en acheter de nouveaux.

Sous le soleil ou sous la neige, New York et ses Sex and the City women sont toujours aussi agréable à voir : du style et de l’élégance. je penses que les parisiennes qui se trouvaient stylées et qui verront les photos qui suivent vont avoir les boules, lol. Mais ne vous inquiétez pas, quand je reviendrais à Paris, je vous offrirai des séances shooting si ça vous dit. Et on s’amusera croyez-moi.

Il y a 30 mois, alors que le street style n’existait pas en France, j’avais émailé, téléphoné et laisser des dizaines de messages à tous les magazines féminins français pour leur faire profiter de mon expérience télé et évènementiel pout en lancer le street style en France : aucun n’a répondu et je me suis fait même carrément jeté par une « journaliste » ou stagiaire de Glamour : « On n’a pas besoin de vous pour faire des photos ! ») . Je me déplace à New York et en profite pour tenter un RDV avec le New York Times, le plus grand journal américain (30 fois plus de lecteurs que ELLE !!! ) : non seulement on me passe une responsable au téléphone mais en plus elle me propose aussitôt un RDV le lendemain. Je comprends pourquoi on parle de « rêve américain » et pas de « rêve français« . Je dédie cet article à tous ceux et toutes celles qui ne perdent pas espoir de réaliser leur rêve quand ils sont méprisés.

Second jour de fashion week à New York, du côté de Bryant Park et en croisant Kate Lanphear de ELLE magazine USA, je ne peux m’empêcher de penser qu’elle est la blonde la plus sexy de la fashion week. Je suis sûr que la top modèle Agyness Deyn à trouvé en elle son inspiration, lol.  A moins qu’elles ne soient soeurs cachées ! Kate Lanphear a ce petit truc dans le regard qui ne peut laisser insensible l’amoureux de la vie que je suis. Et des femmes ! (click READ the story)
