On tuesday, it was raining hard on New York. I walked along Central Park during 1 hour. By bones were litterally wet. Every hotel I knocked the door, gently told me « No sir, it’s impossible to let you go on the roof. » Me : « where do you advice me to go ? » . Doormen : « I don’t know sir ». My brain was depressed by these words but it made my challenge even more beautiful. I kept on walking when God told me to look back, in a perpendicular street. I noticed a hidden building. My eyes followed the tower until its roof : « hummm, the view should be nice. Even more nice that there is no other building hiding the park from the roof ». I walked into the residence : the very kind doorman advice me to come the day after. I did. The doorman called the person in charge of the building and as amazingly as it sound, he simply agreed after having a look to my business card.
This little story might be worthless for some of you, even more worthless that my englihs is not so good. But what I try to make you understand is that nothing can stop you in your life. I have no money but I wanted to go to the New York Fashion week and I did. i wanted to take some pictures of the sunset on Manhattan and despite the strong rain, I succeeded.
Believing in you and acting to achieve your goals is only up to you. Your life is in your hands. Your happiness depends on you.
Here’s some pictures from « my » Manhattan roof. After the Paris fashion week I will organize a new kind of exhibition never done before in the world : a « light exhibition !! ». I will print my photos in a transluscent board that will be back lighted. I ‘ve already tested it : amazingly beautiful. To show you how it will look like, I « backlighted » some pictures and already print one that I put in my bedroom. Tell me what you think about.
And now, some souvenirs from the roof. I advice you to see the pictures in full screen by clicking « View with PicLens »
By the way ! I went to staten Island as well. As I like challenges, I tried to capture the beauty of birds… No so easy as the autofocus of my camera had to be quick and as I had to take care of the backroung. I will put more pictures later as I need to have a walk and enjoy the real life outside !
