Paris Fashion Week souvenirs : the great secret of natural & eternal beauty is

Be in love…

have kids,

cherish your family

and try pink lipstick like Uliana Sergienko, (ok, it’s the man inside me who speaks. But just do if once for me)

I’ve been promising you 300 pictures for a week from a Paris fashion week street style day. I had to postpone several times because I must move from my appartement before april 25th. The problem is that Paris is the most expensive city in the world. Rent for a 20 to 30 square studio ? 800 € per month ! It’s crazy my friends, insane !!! And owners ask you so many guarantees that it’s impossible to find something great for a reasonnable price.

I have 2 solutions : win the lotery, make quickly Style and the City a success. Wich solution I choosed ? (Read the story)

Bingo ! You are right. I choose to make Style and the City a success. It means work work work. Let me show you what is it to be Kamel Lahmadi as a street style photographer. Let me show you just one of my Fashion week files : march 7th file for exemple. I attended just 5 shows this day. Add all the pictures of that day and tell me how many pictures I took.

3 084 pictures for a single day. Delate 30% that are not good for me and I still have 2159 pictures to show you.

And if you open one of my sub files, you’ll see that my pictures are in high definition; that means that I need to work on them. 2 to 3 minutes per pictures = ….. lot of time my friends. That’s why I work 12h a day, that’s why my computer is slow sometimes : it needs a rest. I explain to it that you are waiting for new pictures but it won’t heard anything when it is tired.

I can’t do anything more unless I buy a new computer. An Apple one. I am fed up with PC, too many bugs.

But what makes me working so hard my friends ? Money, fame, women ?

NO. The answer is just bellow :

Cher Kamel,

Dear kamel,

I discovered your FB profil (and your website just after) about a week ago thanks to a friend. I want you to know how much I’m blown away, and I weigh my words, I love your work and how you defend your art with passion.
I also want you to know that thanks to you I also want to live my passion, to make a living with it.

My reason to live is books and when I see how much you work hard, how much you make sacrifices for your art I tell myself that I also want to share what I love, I want to make my passion an art!
I would also say that whatever happens, whatever the obstacles, please do not stop, do not stop never sublimate women, I will not serminize you, after all, what do I know about life, I am just a little schoolgirl?

I just want you to know that after seeing your work, reading your stories, I think that the fantasy of all women that like to be stylish is to meet your camera.

I wish you good continuation and find an apart as soon as possible.
And thank you again.

Audrey Serret Carlotti

I am a blessed man my friends. I am prefere to be poor but make this world a better place, make people happy, help them in their life than being rich, famous and be a greed person.

According to me, when one of your quality is to be creative, be always a step beyond others in whatever professional domain you jump into, we must use these qualities to make our world a better world.

I don’t read fashion magazines (sorry for my friends from ELLE, VOGUE…). I prefere to feed my spirit with books that help me to improve my life, my confidence, my skills. I prefere to read books that will help me to understand the world I live in. I prefere to read books that imrpove my relation with other people by understanding the invisible power or life. have you read « The Celestine Prophecy » from James Redfiels ? Have you read « The alchimist » from Paolo Coelho and many of him ? If you didn’t, do it !

The relation with the young Audrey Serret Carlotti is : if you help a person to find the path of her life, this person will be happy and will be able to help another person to find the path of her life.

Your happiness is my happiness. When you die, there is more place in your coffin for the smiles and happiness you provided to others than for your Ferrari.

It’s 3 am, I am tired but I am happy.

I am happy because for this first sample, you gonna live 30 minutes of my life during a day of Fashion week. But 30 minutes of my life is 432 pictures. Yes, and it’s even not all the entrance of the Karl Lagerfeld fashion show. You’ll see that in 2 days.

I splited these pictures in 3 blocks. I wanted you to feel what I feel, to discover the ambiance as if you were there…

ps : you can navigate inside the pics like in this article « Art will always make you fly !«

You’ll see what matter to me : the natural beauty of real women…

and you’ll understand why I am so sad when I see how photographers behave towards such sweet and beautiful girls like Haya and Sama Abukhadra : 11 cameras !!! It’s not about taking a beautiful pictures of 2 sweet human beings, it’s just about taking pictures of their clothes. That’s why it’s time to humanize fashion.

Did you watch carrefully my pictures ? It’s 4.30 am in Paris. I need to sleep now.

I love your work, I really do.
If I use one of your pictures, I would naturally credit you, for your hard work and effort!
I love your style, your pictures always have a certain « light », a vibe about them and make me feel like I am in Paris, the city of lights.
I love your mantra: humanize fashion.
It is exactly what we need.
    Thank you.
