My friends, yesterday was the first day of the Milan Fashion Week. It’s my first fashion week in Milan. I decided to come here because I needed new challenges. In a country, city, language, with people, transportations, places that I don’t know, I was sure that I could learn something more about photography, about myself. Because learning is what makes me feel alive. And when I feel alive, when I feel I can learn, I am the best in the world to reveal on the go, in just 1 click, women’s natural beauty and grace. Thank you for that Nina Senicar.
What I’ve unfortunately seen again in this Milan Fashion week : too too many street style / fashion week photographers that don’t understand that a woman worthes more than her shoes !!!
That a woman is not a coat rack. That her style is just the clothe of her personality. Have you ever seen a woman happy, how beautiful she is when she smiles mister street style photographer ?
Take in picture her soul, show to the world her generosity that will make her gorgeous, show to women and the models you take in picture, some respect, because this woman was kind enough to let you profit from her. Give her some generosity and love, because if you don’t, they will never remember you and you’ll mis the most important element in photography : emotion.
When I see a woman be taken in picture just for her clothe I am sad. There is so many photographers that don’t care about screwing others pictures that they make my work very hard. Revealing the natural beauty of women on the go is very hard when every second a photographer passes accross your lense. But it’s when it’s difficult that the challenge is the most thrilling, it’s when your work is hard that you can improve it… Have you ever seen a woman flying mister photographer ?
I did. Because I am not a street style photographer that takes brands of clothes and sells his pictures to magazines.
I am a simple guy who quit french female magazines because he wanted to humanize fashion by showing how naturally beautiful women can be. No Photoshope is not allowed here. Just the natural beauty of life.
And if you don’t believe that fashion is about human beings first,
check that. ( ps : I dedicate these pictures to Garance Doré that once again loves my style and pictures…)
It was hard today. I could have stoped women and taken a basic street style pictures. But it’s not what I like. Too easy, to boring. So I tried something today : to capture the beauty even when smile is not there. I never take picture of a woman who is not in a good mood. I respect that emotional state, especially when I like the woman that comes to me. But Today, when I saw the sweet Giovanna Battaglia, in a very « severe » mood, I challenged myself to capture her grace.
I decided to make myself invisible (it’s easy as I am not tall, LOL) and respect her mood. I have 1 second to find a way to make her gorgeouse even in that mood. And thank’s to my professionnal experience as a video reporter on TV, it’s all about finding the good angle and the good timing…
It was hard today because of the enormous amount of photographers. But the reward is always very great when you fight for your nobel values.
especially if she even more sexy…

You’re incedible!
From time to time I visit your blog and always love the photos… I just red your thoughts about the above pictures and Milan FW and have to say that I really appreciate your attitude! That BON TON you have expressed seems very rare theese days among all those people out there! I wish you a successful work and to improve yourself by learning everything that pass your way.
Wow great pictures! Beautiful women!
Love your work <3

Dear Kamel,
I am a big fan of your work, and a regular reader of your blog, which is really delightful. But if I may, however great are your pictures, your writing style, and the purpose of your texts, are, to me, a bit repetitive and annoying sometimes. The fact that you compare yourself so much to other streetstylers of the blogosphere, the fact that you claim your difference so loud, makes you look a bit aggressive in a way. I’d appreciate reading stories about how you capture those moments, instead of stories about how hard it is, how competitive it is, and how your work is somehow better than your neighbour’s.
Despite this, keep working so hard, you’re doing great, and again, you’re in my top 5 blogs!
I whish you luck with everything, and enjoy your job, because it is certainly a great one !
