Dear readers, dear friends. I hope you have a great week, as great as my current stay in New York. Because the moments I live in New York are the most beautiful moments I ever lived in my professional life, I need to share with you one very important thought, so important that I consider it as a universal TRUTH : you are responsible of your happiness !!
HAPPINESS is not given. You must earn it. And considering what our society has become, you’ll have to work harder to become happy.
Regurlarly, many of you keep telling me that I am lucky to go to New York. I AM NOT LUCKY my friends !!. I just deserve what I have as you deserve what you have or don’t have. Your life is the consequences of the choices you do, of the actions you take. But because you are afraid to loose what you have, you do nothing in your life. You keep living your life through others’ lives. I beg you to live your own life, to live your own dreams. If you stop being materialistic, if you stop worrying about the short term, you’ll feel the most beautiful emotion that is given to a human kind to feel : FREEDOM. And that’s what I am : FREE.
I am not afraid to quit a job and people that don’t respect my values (I did it many times) because I work hard to be talented enough to bounce back every time. French TV and french magazines don’t want my talent ? Fine ! Thank’s to them I have no other choices to developp qualities that they don’t have and to create things they are not capable to create like my comedy festival, Style and the City, my iPhone iPad app, my ecommerce project…. Because I DO and not WISH TO DO, I am where I am.
I couldn’t pay my rent or food so many times that I could have surrended many times. But I didn’t because I know that I am talented enough to find my way in this crazy society. In addition I found my light house : I want to have babies and someday my kids will ask me what I achieved in my life to make this world better. And I don’t want to tell them that I never had the courage to take risks.
Michelle Dunn, Beverly Jones, Tricia Craan : thank you very much for your complicity and generosity. Our encounter was unexpected and your adorable crazyness even more. I thank you Michael Fromm for following my advice as we were drinking our Chaï Tea Latte at Starbucks, in front of Chelsea Market : “Michael, go , get them before they disappear !”.
I am living right now the best days of my professional life because they are full of hope. A hope I decided to feed by my actions. Have dreams my friends, but don’t forget to achieve them.
