Dear friends, after the last Dose of Happiness and the pictures of the beautiful Yulia Varava, I was wondering what I could show and talk to you from this last Paris fashion week haute couture. Being inspired, matching my thoughts with pictures that could illustrate them is not as easy as it appears. Fortunately, I choosed the path of the story teller rather than the street style photographer.
Diving into my archives to find some nice moments of life that I succeeded to capture, I stumbled upon a moment that worths thousand words : the sweet Elena Perminova surrounded by photographers for who she kindly posed and then harassed by photographers that wouldn’t let her go until Elena gives them all the fashion brand she was wearing on.
I am always sad when I see women and especially women I like to be harassed by photographers. Women are like flowers to me. Have you observed a flower being swinged by the wind ? It’s beautiful. When I see a woman walking, it’s as if I was observing a flower swinging into the wind. The movement of a woman’s body can be very majestic. Remember how sexy Elena was with her long boots (Album N° 2 of our amazing Style and the City iPhone iPad on iTunes)
Remember when Elena Perminova was pregnant, how gorgeous she was in her long velvet dress. (Album N° 22)
If you want to see more of Elena’s natural beauty, just search for her name in the search page (top menu) and all the posts featuring Elena Perminova will appear like in magic. Download our very entertaining Style and the City iPhone iPad fashion app to enjoy more exclusive pictures of her.
Here we are in from of Elie Saab fashion show at Place de la bourse (former french Wall Street). The place is crowded with photographers stoping every woman looking stylish. I never take picture of people that looked tired or not in the mood. Remember that they attended 2 or 3 fashion weeks before attending the Paris fashion week. Add the jetlag and you understand how exhausted they might feel at final Paris fashion week. Many people from fashion became friends. I have a lot of respect for them and will never do anything that could hurt them in a way or another. Our friendship is more important to me than another picture of them. That’s why, when I realized that the woman who was harassed by the street style photographers was sweet Kate Lanphear, I immediately stoped to take her in picture. I could see how exhausted she was and I wanted to respect her peacefulness. I have so beautiful memories of Kate Lanphear. A former time where she could walk peacefully and have fun with her friends, a time where I could surprise her… The best times of street style are over.
This year will be my last year attenting the fashion week as a humanist street style photographer. I will never thank again all these people who trusted me, shared moments of complicity. As a journalist, I did my best to tell you the reality of the field. Many love it, many hate it. But truth has always been my moral duty toward my readers. Thank you Elena Perminova for staying kind to all photographers. Thank you Kate Lanphear for having offer me sweet moments of life, espcially when you don’t know that I am round. LOL. Thank you to all of you who prefere the beauty of real life, the beauty of truth.
