I never thought being able to take great pictures of men. Probably because loving women makes it easier for me to charm them. Female fans of Style and the City have been begging me to take picture of me for years, but I was reluctant. I just didn’t know how to approach a guy and how I could reveal his charm in a natural way. Women and men’s body are different. The way they move as well. It’s only after 5 years of street style photography, from Paris to New York, that I decided to broader my field of humanist street style photography to men. And New York was an heaven for me : stylish handsome and kind men at every corner.
I was walking up Spring street in order to have a rest at Starbucks (Crosby and Spring) when I saw this handsome guy on the other side of the street. Later on, after the shooting he told me his name : Tobias Sorensen. I didn’t ask who he was, what he was doing in New York. I just tried to capture and reveal his natural charm. It was until I posted one of his pictures on Facebook that you told me who he was : a famous male top model. Then I realized how New York makes people kind. That’s why I do my best to live in this city next year.
I hope you’ll like this little memory from my 3 months stay in New York. I hope you’ll like the way I take in picture men. Ask, and I will try again… Enjoy the slideshow, thank Tobias Sorensen for his kindness and complicity and of course, like and share this memory.
